Sam joined CBHDA in early 2026 as our Executive Office Assistant.  She supports our administrative team in all functions related to our Member and Governing Board meetings, new staff onboarding, IT support, as well as operations and human resources back-up and training. Prior to joining the CBHDA team, Sam was an Office & Administrative Manager at Improve Your Tomorrow, a nonprofit that focuses on supporting young men of color to and through higher education. Earlier in her career she primarily worked in youth care and education as an elementary school paraeducator, summer camp manager, and foreign English teacher in Vietnam before becoming a 10th-grade English teacher at Natomas Unified School District.

Education:

  • Bachelor's of Arts in English TESOL, CSU Stanislaus and a Single Subject Teaching Credential, CSU East Bay.
